This ring is composed of a smooth, high and luminous band decorated with a relief of our wonderful island, one of the pearls of the Tuscan archipelago. In protohistoric times, the island was inhabited by the Ilvati, an ancient population belonging to the Ligurian ethnic group – hence the ancient name of the island: Ilva.

Of this origin remain toponyms such as Borandasco with the typical suffix in asco that is also found in Corsica, another nearby island, where there were Ligurian populations. Very rich in iron deposits, the island of Elba made possible the rise of the Etruscan civilization. Also the military success of Rome thanks to the great availability of metal.

On the island there are the remains of a Roman villa. In the medieval period, watchtowers and the Volterraio fortress were built on the island, located on an inaccessible hill to find refuge from pirate raids. A ring full of history ideal for men and women.
